VIRGIN SOIL, 2021
Rejuvenated plastic, dye, sand

In Virgin Soil, untreated postindustrial plastic rests in a field of violently dyed pink sand. The contrast is intentional: stripped material and saturated ground, quiet form and synthetic shock. Made during the pandemic, the work stages the illusion of ecological recovery—less as healing, more as pause. The sand doesn’t soften the piece; it exposes it. Fragility here is not gentle—it’s laid bare.
