A suspended form crafted from rubber and synthetic hair, This Old Thing? evokes the remnants of a discarded identity. The work embodies a tension between attraction and repulsion, its materials referencing both the artificiality of constructed personas and the rawness of what is left behind. Hovering between object and presence, it invites reflection on the layers we shed and the traces they leave behind.
Exhibited at You’ve Changed, Vaasa Kunsthalle, Vaasa, Finland, 2022 curated by Silvia Rinne.
