Lana Haga
WHOLE LOTTA LOVE, 2024

Postindustrial plastic, acrylic
38 x 90 x 70 cm

Whole Lotta Love (2024) extends Lana Haga’s ongoing investigation into transformation and material resilience, foregrounding the tension between fragmentation and cohesion. In contrast to her other works in post-industrial plastic, this installation is notably dense and compact, accumulating material into a compressed, almost bodily form.

The work recalls a biological heart—not as representation, but as function: a structure that sustains circulation under constant pressure. Built from recycled plastic concentrated into a single mass, the sculpture emphasises support, repetition, and endurance as conditions for continued growth.

Exhibited at A Thousand Plateaus, a solo show at MUU Contemporary Art Centre (Helsinki, Finland, 2025) and Salon, Vaasa City Art Gallery (Vaasa, Finland, 2024).
